Is there scarring?
Electrolysis is a safe and effective hair removal method that usually doesn't cause scarring when done by a professional. Some may experience temporary redness or minor swelling that quickly resolves. However, poor post-treatment care can lead to scarring, so aftercare instructions are crucial for optimal results. I'll provide guidance to minimize risks. If you have concerns or skin conditions, let's discuss them during your consultation!
How long does this take? How soon will I see results?
A hair growth cycle can take 10 to 12 weeks, and not all hair grows simultaneously. While every client is different, many start to see noticeable reductions in hair growth within 4 to 6 months of consistent treatment. Consistency is key to achieving the best results, so regular appointments will help you reach your goals effectively.

What’s the difference between electrolysis and laser?
Electrolysis and laser hair removal are two popular methods with distinct approaches. Electrolysis uses electric currents for permanent hair removal on all hair types and skin tones, requiring multiple sessions based on hair density and growth cycles. It's suitable for sensitive areas. Conversely, laser hair removal employs focused light beams, working best for light skin with dark hair. Although laser sessions are faster and suitable for larger areas, they may not provide permanent results for everyone. Discuss your needs during your consultation to find the best option!
How should I prepare for my appointment?
To ensure the best results from your electrolysis session, please follow these tips:
Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your appointment.
Shave the Area: Shave 3-4 days before treatment for optimal hair length.
Avoid Caffeine: Skip caffeine hours before your appointment to reduce sensitivity.
Wear Comfortable Clothing: Dress in loose, clean clothing to minimize irritation.
Come with Clean Skin: Arrive with clean skin; avoid makeup and lotions.
Intimate Areas: Shower thoroughly at least an hour prior if we’re working in intimate areas.
Bring Numbing Agents: If you use them, please bring your numbing agents.
Plan Ahead: Arrive on time to maximize your appointment. Allow extra time for unexpected delays.
What are the aftercare instructions?
Do not touch the treated area as it can cause infection. Avoid sunlight for 24-48 hours; if you must be outside, wear sunscreen. Do not use makeup for 24-48 hours. Avoid showers, hot tubs, and pools for 24 hours. Skin irritation is normal and should go away in 24 hours. You can use an ice pack (wrapped in a towel) for irritation, but do not apply direct ice. Let any scabs heal naturally. Use soothing products like Aloe Vera, but avoid those with strong fragrances or alcohol. If you have any concerns about your skin, please reach out.
